Amy Tait Employment Strategies (ATES) is a non-profit employment service provider, empowering individuals with disabilities to participate and thrive in Social Security Administration’s Ticket to Work and Self-Sufficiency program. ATES has over 20 years’ experience in employment services for people with disabilities and specializes in serving the deaf community, as well as people with mental health conditions.

ATES is a National Employment Network with over 30 years’ experience advocating and supporting people with disabilities. ATES has expertise in strategic planning and offers one-on-one consultation to help individuals with disabilities develop and implement a plan for self-sufficiency through gainful employment.  


CORE SERVICES 

  • A Strategic Planning Advisor will help you organize and manage your job search, as well as provide you job search tips and job leads.  
  • A Certified Work Incentive Practitioner (CWIP) will help you understand and manage your SSI and SSDI benefits, to help you prevent or resolve Social Security overpayments.  
  • A Strategic Planning Advisor will provide on-going advocacy, mentorship, encouragement, and moral support for up to seven years to help you maintain or advance at your job after you are employed.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS 

  • Social Security beneficiaries can earn as much as they want and keep their SSDI benefits for 12 months or longer.  
  • Beneficiaries can keep their Medicare for over 93 months after they are employed.  
  • Beneficiaries can keep their Medicaid after SSI benefits are stopped due to employment, up to a certain earnings level (specific to each state). 
  • Beneficiaries can have their benefits reinstated without having to reapply if they are unable to maintain gainful employment.
